F*** the patriarchy, am I right? This week’s feature makes sure you can be the boss lady you are, minus a skirt or a dress; I’m talking about menswear. I love how a sharp black blazer can dress anything up, from slacks and an oxford shirt to ripped boyfriend jeans and an oversized tee. I mixed it up a bit with this hybrid business-casual look, going with black jeans, a lingerie-style camisole and of course, some killer over the knee leather boots.

Crisp black blazers, silky skinny ties and shiny leather brogues; not only can we borrow these looks from the boys, but we can give them that extra oomph, that womanly touch that makes them look better than ever. I wore this look last week for a presentation I had in class and felt like the ultimate boss bitch.

A major 70’s trend this season is the long, skinny scarf and though I was a bit hesitant at first (I’m more of a blanket-scarf girl, I find it comfier to doze off on in class), so long as you pick high-quality material ones (like satin or silk) you can rest assured that it will give you a modern, sleek look with minimal effort. I like looping it around my neck once choker-style, and then loosely tying it in a knot at chest level to give it that effortless, what-even-is-this-I-just-threw-it-on look. Totes blasé, totes cool-girl vibe.
