Along with Frosh, OAP and zero responsibilities, summer is coming to a end, but it may brighten your spirits to know that means it’s time for F/W season shopping! New collections are being released every 5 minutes and this time of year is always about finding the perfect balance between an outfit that’ll keep you warm against the impending chill in the air and cool enough so you’re not overheating in the last little bits of warmth that refuse to leave…all while staying on trend of course.
Leather skirts are one of those articles that will always be in, and with good reason. Pastel pink, forest green and mustard yellow flared skirts are a la mode colours for fall (shop here), but you can never go wrong with a classic black number. Pair it with an oversized cream cashmere turtleneck and little black booties as it cools off, or a simple tee, strappy sandals and a trendy printed bag while it’s still warm-ish and you’re good to go. The end of summer weather will always call for summer leather.

On another note…
Doing all the travelling I did this summer back home in Europe really made me wonder about what kind of audience my blog was attracting and from where (if there was any audience at all). With StatCounter, I was able to see who my most popular viewers were, where they were coming from and how often they were visiting MyMimosaMondays. Safe to say I was pleasantly shocked by what I found.
I figured that recurring viewers from Canada, Belgium and the U.S. were a given, as I have a lot of friends from home and school who know about my blog and follow me pretty consistently…but Sweden? Brazil? Austria? Beirut? It was a surreal experience to watch my blog’s view count grow along with the number of continents and countries I was reaching. I’ve only been checking in with StatCounter for a few months now and already have over 18,000 individual hits since May…what?! That’s crazy!! So from the bottom of my heart, I want to give a shout out to my lifestyle readers, hungry foodies, fashion lovers and travel junkies; you guys mean the world to me and are the reason I write.
